Gender Ink

About

At Gender Ink, we believe in writing as a means of self-expression, self-discovery, and ultimately, an aesthetic engine of change. Recognizing writing's personal and worldly purpose, we teach creative writing as a way to craft critical, problem-posing stories, poems, and narratives.

Whether you're a poet, novelist, or essayist, Gender Ink is here to help you turn your passion for writing into a force of revelation and change.

The Writing & Theory Workshop Series

Our workshops are designed to teach writing with personal and political purpose. Over a period of 8-weeks, online participants learn how to craft compelling, complex narratives that resonate with readers and change minds. Topics include queer & critical close reading, developing your voice through belief, narrative-building, and political fiction.

Workshops on Intersectionality and The World:

We believe understanding the interconnectedness and complexity of social issues is crucial for effective writing about the human experience. Our workshops explore how gender, race, class, and history intersect to make up our lives. We intend to show participants how this affects them and how to integrate these perspectives into their writing and analysis, creating more aware and impactful work.
